Battle Car

This post-apocalyptic car is by far the biggest project I have worked on and was developed out over 6 months while tackling my first semester of junior year. This was the first vehicle I modeled and I looked specifically to Mad Max for reference. My modeling skills were certainly improved upon completion, and I gained a lot of knowledge on texturing and setting up the HDRI skylight to bounce reflections off all objects in the full render.

This pirate ship was started for an independent study in the spring of 2017 and later had the background added to it in the fall of 2017. Every element was modeled in Cinema 4D, UV'd in 3D Coat, and textured in Substance Painter. I also used a new 3rd party plug-in called PixelBerg to experiment with its rendering engine. While I enjoy the modeling more, I spent an equal amount of time texturing and setting up the render settings/working on post in Photoshop. I bettered my abilities to make mountains, an ocean, and hard-surface modeling in general.

Sniper

I strive to create things that have never been made before and put unique spins on each render. That is why when I made this sniper rifle, I made it unique with a dual 6-chamber shotgun attachment connected to the underbarrel. This project certainly helped me extend my modeling skills as well as texturing, specifically metal materials. I went back after a year and retextured the rifle in Substance Painter, and experimented with Pixelberg's physically based renderer for Cinema 4D, and modeled the man and environment for a completed project.
